Help rehabilitate trauma victims of Oct 7!

Our Vision, and a Word from the Chairman of the Board

Integrative medicine views the body as a single unit rather than a collection of organs, and sees the person as a whole made up of body, mind, and spirit, which profoundly and fundamentally influence one another. According to integrative medicine, it is not enough to treat physical symptoms; one must address the entire whole—body, mind, and spirit—to achieve health and wellness, often referred to globally as “Wellness.”

The October 7, 2023 war, along with the preceding global COVID-19 crisis, has pushed the integrative approach to the forefront of medical discourse. These disasters have sharpened our understanding that mental health greatly impacts physical health, and that untreated stress, anxiety, and trauma contribute to the development of illnesses and weaken the body’s immune systems and resilience.

We established IMFA with the vision of transforming healthcare in Israel into integrative medicine, where the therapeutic medical protocol includes simultaneous treatment plans for both the mind and body. This is a non-profit organization created to leverage the opportunity that has arisen:

  • To change the perception of healthcare services among the public in Israel and around the world
  • To expand the understanding of conventional medicine
  • To establish integrative medicine as a legitimate and accessible option for anyone who desires it

I invite each and every one of you who hold this issue close to your hearts, and who understand that true healing involves not only the body but also the mind and spirit, to join us, contribute, and participate in advancing the health and wellness revolution.

With my best wishes of health and wellness,

Gilad Segev

Chairman of the Board

CEO's statement

As the CEO of IMFA, I oversee a non-profit hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. My journey in healthcare began with my parents, who founded a private hospital 50 years ago with a vision to revolutionize medicine by putting patients at the center of their care. Growing up surrounded by this vision, I spent 30 years managing the hospital alongside them, gaining invaluable insights into the true meaning of healthcare.

Through my experience, I came to understand that healing is not only about addressing physical ailments—it must also encompass emotional and psychological well-being. This realization led me to evolve my life’s work toward integrating mind-body healing, with the belief that genuine recovery requires treating both body and soul in tandem.

Although my formal education is in law and management, my passion for trauma treatment has driven me to expand my knowledge in this field. I recognized that trauma—often the missing link in traditional medical protocols—plays a crucial role in patient recovery.

At IMFA, we’ve made trauma recovery a core focus of our therapeutic approach. We call this methodology InHeal, which empowers individuals to heal from within. Our work extends to supporting soldiers returning from long-term deployments, many of whom face both physical injuries and the deep emotional scars of war. We are committed to helping these individuals not only recover physically but also find a path to emotional healing.

At Medical Care, we are always one step ahead!

IMFA’s goals are:

1

To Manage the Medical Care Rehabilitation hospital as a lighthouse of integrative medicine in Israel demonstrating a superb rehabilitation protocol with the combined body and soul treatments.

2

Treat All Trauma Victims of the 2023 War: Addressing both physical injuries and mental health issues.

3

To broaden the establishment’s recognition of Integrative Medicine (IM), as to acknowledge the value, the effectiveness, and the necessity of IM treatments under the body-mind-spirit approach, and to include IM treatments in healthcare services baskets provided by HMOs and other public health services in Israel.

4

To ensure the accessibility of IM, and body-mind-spirit oriented treatments to every person, from every home, from all parts of society, who seeks to receive it.
